Meet Steve & The Story Behind Watch Jewelry & Cell Phone Repair
Serving the Greater Sacramento Area, Watch Jewelry & Cell Phone Repair has been serving the community since 2018 with over 100 years of family passed-down knowledge within the watch-smith industry across three generations of smiths.
“In Afghanistan, my grandfather taught my father the trade of a watchmaker. My father worked part-time as a watch-smith while he was attending law school. My family fled the war when I was 7 years old in 1990 and immigrated to the United States after he received his law degree. Since the BAR exam was difficult to pass in the United States, he opened a shop at Denio’s Farmers’ Market & Swap Meet in the 1990s. I soon began working on watches and learned how to change batteries. In downtown Sacramento, my father opened his first watch shop on K Street. He later gave that shop to my brother and opened a new one on Fulton Avenue. I worked as the manager at his shop for years after I finished my service as an Army Interpreter until he sold it and I opened my own shop on Auburn Blvd in 2018. In 2023 Steve visited the Cell Phone Repair Academy in Brookfield, IL to certify in cell phone repair. He can now do screen replacements, charging port repairs, battery swaps, as well as component replacements on other small electronics like gaming systems, controllers, etc!
